How do I give someone a Community Diamond?
Reply to a post with your message and tag @greatpost_buddy. We send the post’s author an invitation with your Community Diamond and your message.
What happens after I tag?
If the author of that post is cool with it, we’ll post it on our social media accounts. If they sign up and want to be on the website, that’s free too!
Does the author have to say yes?
Yes. Nothing is shown unless they say yes. They answer YES 👍 or NO 👎 to the invitation, and can reply STOP to never be offered a Community Diamond again.
How long does an invitation last?
Seven days. An author receives at most one invitation a day.
Can I take an offer back?
Yes, until the author accepts. Open History and choose Withdraw.
Can I use a different Community Diamond just once?
Yes. On the Give page pick a Community Diamond and press Use once. Only your next tag uses it, then your default is back.
Can I pick a Community Diamond for just one post?
Yes. Put its name in square brackets in your tag, like [rainbow] or [stars]. It is used for that gift only, and your default and any “use once” Community Diamond stay as they were. If we do not know the name we will ask what you meant, and you can answer with or without the brackets.
Which Community Diamonds can I choose?
Any of the looks on the Give page. If you also have a DentedPrinter account you can link it once and copy your custom Community Diamonds here.
Can I opt out of invitations altogether?
Yes, even if you have never been invited. Reply “stop” to anything the bot posts and it will never invite you. It confirms once. If you change your mind, reply “start”. All we keep is a one-way hash of your username, only so we remember to leave you alone.
Does the bot ever send me links?
No. Our replies never contain links.
